NVDA end-2026 outlook: Wall Street analyst price targets ($175–$300), Blackwell and Rubin ramp, hyperscaler capex, China export controls and technical levels.

NVIDIA (NVDA) heads into the final stretch of 2026 as the single most-owned name in the AI trade. After a year of Blackwell shipments, sovereign-AI deals, and a full quarter of Rubin sampling to hyperscalers, the stock trades on a very different narrative than it did 12 months ago: less "how big can this get" and more "what does the second act look like". Sell-side price targets for end of 2026 sit in a wide $175–$300 range, with a base-case cluster in the low-$200s.

This is a summary of where NVDA stands right now, what major Wall Street analysts are calling for by 31 December 2026, and the levels institutional traders are watching.

Where NVDA stands right now

NVIDIA reported its Q3 FY26 results in November with data-center revenue at a fresh record, driven by full-quarter Blackwell (B200/GB200) shipments and early Blackwell Ultra deliveries. Management guided Q4 revenue above consensus, reiterated visibility into calendar 2026 hyperscaler capex, and confirmed that Rubin—the successor architecture—remains on track for volume ramp in the second half of 2026. Gross margin has normalised into the low-70s as Blackwell mix has scaled, in line with the company's guided glide-path back toward mid-70s once yields mature.

The three known unknowns going into 2026 are: (1) the pace at which US hyperscaler capex resets after two years of record spending; (2) how much of the China data-center market NVIDIA can serve under the current US export-control regime (H200 approval, B30-class variants); and (3) the competitive response from custom ASIC programs at Google (TPU), Amazon (Trainium 2/3), Meta (MTIA) and OpenAI's own silicon effort with Broadcom.

NVIDIA (NVDA) analyst price targets for end of 2026

The table below aggregates the most-cited 12-month NVDA price targets from major sell-side desks, updated after Q3 FY26 earnings. All targets are for NVDA common stock on Nasdaq.

Firm / Analyst12-month NVDA targetRating / note
Wedbush (Dan Ives)$300Outperform; sees NVDA as the "foundation of the AI revolution", $4T+ market cap path
Bank of America (Vivek Arya)$275Buy; Top Pick; models $260bn data-center revenue in CY26
Morgan Stanley (Joseph Moore)$220Overweight; Top Pick; base case built on Blackwell/Rubin mix
Goldman Sachs (Toshiya Hari)$210Buy; Conviction List; sees sustained sovereign-AI demand
JPMorgan (Harlan Sur)$215Overweight; expects Rubin cycle to extend growth into 2027
Bernstein (Stacy Rasgon)$225Outperform; highlights software attach (CUDA, NIM) as sticky moat
Citi (Atif Malik)$220Buy; models 60% GPU AI accelerator share through CY26
UBS (Timothy Arcuri)$205Buy; more cautious on gross-margin normalisation timing
HSBC (Frank Lee)$200Buy; raised on Rubin visibility, flags China-tail risk
Barclays (Tom O'Malley)$175Overweight; most conservative of the majors; capex-digestion scenario

Consensus (Refinitiv/Visible Alpha aggregated, Nov 2026): $221 median, $216 mean, $175–$300 range.

The bull case for NVDA into end-2026

The core bull case rests on four legs. First, hyperscaler capex is still ramping, not peaking: Microsoft, Meta, Google and Amazon collectively guided calendar 2026 capex above 2025 levels, and the incremental dollar is disproportionately AI infrastructure. Second, Rubin extends the product cycle: with volume shipments in H2 2026, NVIDIA locks in another ASP step-up and gives customers a reason not to defer purchases. Third, sovereign AI is now a multi-billion-dollar line: contracts with Saudi Arabia (HUMAIN), the UAE (G42), the UK, France, Japan and India create a demand pool that is largely uncorrelated with US enterprise IT spend. Fourth, software attach is beginning to matter: CUDA licences, NIM microservices, NVIDIA AI Enterprise and Omniverse are moving from "nice-to-have" to line items in customer contracts, adding higher-margin recurring revenue.

Wedbush's Dan Ives is the most vocal bull, arguing that NVIDIA is on track to become the first $5 trillion company on a 12–18 month view. BofA's Vivek Arya, more measured, models data-center revenue at roughly $260bn for calendar 2026—an outcome that would justify targets in the $260–$280 area even on unchanged multiples.

The bear case for NVDA into end-2026

The bear case is not that AI demand disappears—it is that NVIDIA-specific economics compress. Three risks dominate. First, capex digestion: if any one of the top-four hyperscalers signals a pause, sell-side models re-rate the entire cohort and NVDA's forward multiple compresses even without an earnings miss. Barclays' $175 target explicitly bakes in this scenario. Second, China exposure: even with the H200 export approval, NVIDIA's China data-center revenue remains structurally capped, and the risk is that Beijing accelerates the Huawei Ascend build-out and forecloses the segment entirely. Third, custom-silicon share loss: Google TPU v6, AWS Trainium 3 and Meta MTIA are all shipping at scale in 2026. Consensus assumes NVIDIA holds ~60% of AI-accelerator TAM through 2026; anything below 55% starts to matter.

A fourth, more macro risk is rates and duration: NVDA trades at ~30x forward earnings and is highly sensitive to the long-end of the US curve. A repricing of 2027 Fed policy toward "higher for longer" can compress the multiple mechanically, independently of fundamentals.

Catalysts to watch into year-end 2026

  • NVIDIA Q4 FY26 earnings (late February 2026): key focus on FY27 data-center guide, Rubin production timeline, and gross-margin trajectory.
  • GTC 2026 keynote: architecture roadmap beyond Rubin (Rubin Ultra, Feynman), software attach metrics.
  • US export-control review: any expansion or contraction of what NVIDIA can ship to China materially changes the tail.
  • Hyperscaler CY26 capex refresh: Microsoft, Meta, Google and Amazon Q4 prints and 2027 guides set the demand ceiling for NVDA data-center revenue.
  • Sovereign-AI contract announcements: HUMAIN, G42, UK AI Growth Zones, EU AI factories.

Key technical levels traders are watching

On the daily chart heading into December 2026, NVDA is consolidating between $170 support and $200 resistance. A close above $205 opens a measured move to $225, with the year's high near $215 as the first intermediate objective. On the downside, $155 is the 200-day moving average and the level where sell-side downgrade risk historically clusters. Below $140, the technical picture inverts and the stock re-tests the pre-Blackwell breakout zone near $125.

Resistance$200–$205Round-number magnet and range top
Support$170–$175Range low; Barclays bear-case target
Support$155200-day moving average; sell-side downgrade risk

NVDA vs the AI-trade complex

Institutional positioning into year-end matters as much as the analyst tape. NVIDIA is now the largest single position in the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq-100, which means passive flows amplify both directions. When AI-basket ETFs (SMH, SOXX, AIQ) receive inflows, NVDA is mechanically the largest single beneficiary; when the AI trade rotates out, NVDA absorbs the marginal seller. Traders monitoring NVDA into 2027 (and looking to trade the AI complex via a regulated broker — open a broker account) should watch not only NVDA itself but also the semiconductor complex (AMD, AVGO, TSM) — see our indices trading signals hub, the hyperscaler tape (MSFT, META, GOOGL, AMZN), and the software attach names (PLTR, SNOW) as coincident indicators.
